(BMLTV)-My name is Tommie Spain. I have been a lifelong resident of the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I am currently studying at Tidewater Community College towards a degree in Social Sciences. After completing my Associates Degree, I hope to continue my education towards a pyschology Degree. Meanwhile, I am serving as a student senator. I am working to establish a network of peace activists with the Student Peace Action Network. There are so many atrocities in the world that can be better solved through cooperation than through conflict. The Student Peace Action Network works with other organizations to prevent future wars, petition government officials, and towards establishing a Department of Peace. Another one of my goals as Student Senator is to raise funds for the food bank to help alleviate the need of the hungry in our own back yard. Hopefully, through my efforts and the efforts of others, an awareness of compassion and justice will permeate the minds of other students at Tidewater Community College.Watch the VDO
